Life:

Since I began this journey of recovery, I stop to ask myself this question on occasion.
What is life all about to me? Well, for me, life is all about being connected. Connected to the God I believe in and serve, connected to people that I care about and connected to the creation of life.

My spiritual life is one of balance. I have been told that those who have a strong spiritual life actually recover more fully. I believe this, I walk the walk, and talk the talk so to speak. I find comfort, fellowship, love and joy in my spirituality. It really does ground me.

Connecting to people is so important. People help to form who we are, they give us insight into our selves. Connecting with others instills a sense of love and affirms who we are.

And then connecting to the creation of our world, helps to bring peace and contentment. I mean, do you ever just sit and listen to a bird sing and watch a tree sway in the wind? Just simply being in the present moment and connect to all the feelings that belong only to you. This is a very powerful excercise, and I highly recommend doing it everyday, as often as you can.

Life, it's such a gift. Open it, touch it and feel the creation given to you. Experience what only You can experience. We are all unique and will have a different perspective, thats one of the things that make us all so wonderfully made!

I would really like to hear what You think life is all about. I will look forward to hearing from your hearts.

  1. i'm schizophrenic

and i'm sorry but the way you type (i.e., capitalizing "You", and implying that my heart is capable of speaking to you, and that you would hear *from* anything) just makes me think you're the government.

and that's just a general term i use for everybody. because i'm so paranoid. and that's my answer.

  5. well,do you really know spiritual aspect of schizophrenia..then why you said you recovered..i believe a spiritual schizo never recovers..he just walks on the path of spirituality, where psychotic phase is just one intense phase.medically you can come out of hallucinations ans delusions but after "recovery" did you try to analyze experiences from spiritual aspect..did u ask questions like how, why, why me etc
